<p n="1954">And had ordered that a Covenant should be inserted in the Lease<lb></lb>
to be granted to Mr. James giving him a right to the use of a passage<lb></lb>
on the South side of Wapping Street leading to the Thames in<lb></lb>
common with the other Tenants of the Hospital</p>
<p n="1955">That the Treasurer had reported that he had purchased £600<lb></lb>
3 Pr. Cent Consils for Bridewell Hospital and indented to purchase<lb></lb>
£963.7.4 3 Pr. Ct. reduced for the use of the Incurable</p>
<p n="1956">The minutes of the Prison Committee were read whereby it appeared.</p>
<p n="1957">That they had considered the Letter from Mr. Snugg the Contractor<lb></lb>
for performing the alterations and repaired of the Buildings<lb></lb>
intended for a Men Prison referred to them by the General<lb></lb>
Court on the 30th. of July last past and after several meetings<lb></lb>
and a minute investigation of the causes of the accident they<lb></lb>
Resolved that it was the opinion of the Committee that an Actn.<lb></lb>
or Actions should be commenced and prosecuted against Mr.<lb></lb>
Snuggs and his Sureties for non performance of the Contract.</p>
<p n="1958">And that the Committee had Resolved that the Surveyor should<lb></lb>
prepare a Plan and estimate for a Building in that part of<lb></lb>
the Hospital intended for a Mens Prison which would best<lb></lb>
carry into effect the original intention of the Governors.</p>
<p n="1959">And had distributed £50 among the sufferers by the falling<lb></lb>
of <rs type="placeName" id="BBBRMG20210_geo192">the Building</rs>

<p n="1960">And had Resolved that the Barber to the Hospital should be<lb></lb>
at liberty to charge 1½d Pr. head for Shaving the Prisoners<lb></lb>
from Xmas last</p>
<p n="1961">The minutes were then confirmed and the Court ordered that an Action<lb></lb>
should be commenced agreeably to the opinion of the Committee and<lb></lb>
prosecuted under their direction</p>
