words foll &that is to Say- In pursuance of in Order made at a Court holsen at<lb></lb>
this hospital on ye 23d day of Novemr last whereby it was<lb></lb>
referred to this Comee to consider of ye Petition of Thomas<lb></lb>
Bugly Steward of this hospital Setting forth That by an Order<lb></lb>
of Court made the 7th day of may 1647 the Steward of this<lb></lb>
hospital was to be allowed after ye rate of five pence P dcem<lb></lb>
for ye dyett of every Prisonr. kept in ye sd hospital a whole day<lb></lb>
& Night together & to provide for them Such Dyett as in ye sd<lb></lb>
Order & Petition or menconed That ye Petr. had been<lb></lb>
Steward five yeares & upwards & had Supplyed ye Prisoners wth<lb></lb>
ye Provisions according to ye Said Order but that for ye greates<obscured></obscured>

part of ye sd time provisions were much deares than formerly<lb></lb>
P ticularly ye be of which was used to be bought for one<lb></lb>
penny & three halfe pence p pound had Stood ye Petr in two<lb></lb>
pence & three<del>halfe</del>
pence and the Small Beer which at ye<lb></lb>
time of makeing ye sd order & for maney yeares afterwds<lb></lb>
way at 4s p Barrell had for ye most part Cost ye Petr.<lb></lb>
7s. 6d So that he had been a great Looser by ye Dyott at<lb></lb>
the price aforesd the as he conceived ye sd Order was<lb></lb>
intended as a benefitt to ye Steward And praying Such a<lb></lb>
consideracon for his loss for ye time past and Such allowance<lb></lb>
for ye future as ye Court Should think fitt This Comee have<lb></lb>
considered of ye Sd petition & are Satisfied that ye price of<lb></lb>
provisions dureing ye time of ye Petrs being Steward<lb></lb>
have been much greater than they were at ye time of<lb></lb>
makeing ye sd Order for ye price of ye Dyett & for many</p>
