His Confession was read in Court, wherein he confest before the Justice what was to the same Effect. Another Evidence depos'd, That the Prisoner told him, Anthony Bragget < no role > , who had at that Time lost 12 Yards of Drugget, that if they would let him push off, he would help him to his Drugget again, and Mr. Barton should have his Goods again. It appear'd by the Evidence, That he was Apprentice to the Prosecutor's Landlord. The Prisoner deny'd the Fact, and pretended he was terrified into his Confession.
