Margt. Bedward< no role > This name instance is in set 1045. aged about 20 Years upon Oath
says she was never Married and that she lived a hired
Yearly Servant with Mr. Edward Daintree< no role > in Hollywell
Street in the parish of St. Clement Danes in the County
of Middx for One Year and upwards at the Yearly Wages
of Three pounds and Ten Shillings and hath left her
said Service upwards of three Months and hath not
since Rented House or paid Taxes And further upon
her Voluntary Oath says that on the 17th. day of March
last she was delivered of a Male Bastard Child in
the House of Mrs. Poole (one of the Parish Nurses of the said
Parish) in Clements Lane in the aforesaid parish of
St. Clement Danes which was baptized Thomas < no role > This name instance is in set 3726. and
is since dead, says that one Thos. Mitchell< no role > a Baker
who is run away & this Examinant can't tell where he
is did beget the said Male Bastard Child of which she was
delivered as aforesaid he having had carnal knowledge
of her body sometime in the Months of May or June
1764 and at sevl. other times since at one of which
times he got her with Child of the Male Bastard Child
of which she was delivered as aforesaid and that the
said Thos. Mitchell< no role > and no other person did beget
the same
