Jane Polfrey< no role > aged about 26 Years upon Oath says
she was never Married and that she lived a hired
Yearly Servant with Mr. John Wilson< no role > a Jeweller in
Arrundel Street in the Parish of St. Clement Danes in
the County of Middx for One Year at the Yearly Wages
of Six pounds hath quitted said Service upwards
of five Months and hath not since Rented house or
paid Taxes And further upon her Voluntary
Oath says that on the 17th. day of March last she was
delivered of a Male Bastard Child in the house of Mrs. Poole
(one of the parish Nurses of the said Parish) in Clements
Lane in the aforesaid Parish of St. Clement Danes which
was baptized Richard < no role > and is since dead says that one
Richard Chapman< no role > a Lighterman near Bull Stairs
Southwark did beget the said Male Bastard Child of
which she was delivered as aforesaid he having had
Carnal knowledge of her body sometime in the
Month of May 1764 and at several other times since
at one of which times he got her with Child of the Male
Bastard Child of which she was delivered as aforesaid
and that the said Richard Chapman< no role > and no other
person did beget the same
