On the Prosecution of stephen Mackdannell< no role > This name instance is in set 3578.

Stephen Mackdannell< no role > of the Parish of Saint Clement Danes in the County
of Middlesex Cutter the Prosecutor in the above Cause maketh oath and
saith that Thomas Bentley< no role > is a material witness against the said
Defendant on the Indictment preferred against him by this Deponent for
keeping a disorderly House and without whose Testimony this Deponent
cannot as he advised and verily beleives safely proceed to the Try all of
the said defendant on the said Indictment and this Deponent further
Saith that He this Deponent did on Monday last go to the House of the
Said Mr. Thomas Bentley< no role > scituate in Hungerford Markett in the parish
of Saint Martin in the Fields in the County of Middlesex in order to have
got him to have attended the Try all of the said Indictment this deponent
having received a notice in Writing from the Defendant of his Intention
to plend and try the Traverse of the said Indictment as this day and
this Deponent on his Inquires for the said Mr. Bentley at his House as
aforesaid was informed by the said Mr. Bentley Servant that the said
Mr Bentley was not then in Town for he had been gone from [..]
above a Fort night and was not expected home for Ten days or more
all which information of the said Mr. Bentleys servant this
Deponent verily beleives to be true
