Middlesex to Wit


The Information of John Clark< no role > , David Prothers< no role > and
Peter Senhouse< no role > taken before me this 30th. day of July 1781.

Who being on Oath say, that having received Information of
Some persons, suspected to be Coiners of Half pence in Cumberland Court
Southampton Buildings Holborn, they on the 27th. day of this instant July went
to a House No. 3 in Cumberland Court aforesaidThat on entering the
Cellars of the said House they perceived Six persons now present who call
themselves Benjamin Lee< no role > . Shedrick Dunkley< no role > , Richard Williams< no role > , Jonas
Wooldridge

were all stripp'dthe said Lee, Dunkley, Williams and Wooldridge had
their Shirt Sleeves tucked up and their hands and Shirts were very
black and greasyThat they found in said Cellar-three Presses
Candles lighted and struck at each Press a great Quantity of Counterfeit
Half pence lying by the said Presses & two Dies fixed [..]
a great Quantity of Blanks and Cezil, and every Implement necessary
to coin Half pence and that they do verily believe at the time they enter'd
the said Cellars, all the above persons, were Coining Counterfeit Half pence
And the said Peter Sen house for himself further says that on the Stairs
leading to the said Cellars he apprehended another person now present who
calls herself Rebecca Brown< no role > and in his attempting to search he
she struggled and endeavoured to get away and would not permit
him to search herThat he pulled a pocket from her side, in which
he found a Quantity of Counterfeit Half pence now produced (which
were wrapped up in apiece of brown paper;) and that he doth verily
believe she the said Rebecca Brown< no role > was aiding and abetting the
aforesaid persons in feloniously making coining and counterfeiting
