The Information of Nichol as Oakley of the parish
of Saint Botolph Bishop Gate Street without in
the City of London Apprentice to Daniel Clarke< no role > This name instance is in set 3672.
of the same place Weaver taken upon Oath
the third Day of November in the Year of our
Lord 1769 before me David Wilmot< no role > Esquire
one of his Majesty's Justices of peace
forth County of Middlesex .

This Informant upon his Oath saith about
[..] Seven Weeks ago at about two o'Clock on
a Tuesday Morning two persons came up Stairs
into this Informant Masters Workshop one
of them was a tall Man whose Name is
Thomas Haddin< no role > and the other was a short
Man whom he did not know The said Haddon
had a Bonnet on when he came in which
he pulled off and flung on the Ground and
the short man had something black on his
Face And this Informant saith that he knew
Hadden because he drank Ted with his
Masters the Sunday before And this Informant
saith that each of the said persons had a
Cutlass in this hand and the said Short Man
had a Candle and the said persons both of
them with the said Cutlasses did cut and
destroy a Quantity of Silk in his said
Masters Loom part of which was manufact used
and part of it unmanerfactured And this
Informant saith that he sat up in Bed whilst
he saw the said Work cut but the said persons
did not see him as he believes because the
Bed was behind a Warsing Mill And this
Informant saith that he did not see the said Haddon
till about three Weeks after when he lit him in to his
Masters house and this Informant knew him
again and as soon as he was gone he told his
Mistress that was the Man who cut the Work
