The Voluntary Examination of Mary Brades< no role >
of the Parish of Saint Botolph without Aldgate in the said County
Singlewoman taken on oath before me Cha: Digby< no role > Esquire
one of his Majesties Justices of the Peace in and for the Said County
this 20th- Day of May 1772

Who on her oath Saith That She is now With child and that the
Said Child is likely to be born a Bastard and to be chargeable to
the said Parish of Saint Botolph without Aldgate in the said
County and that Henry Clerges< no role > of the Parish of Christ church
in the County of Middlesex aforesd. Dealer in Hardware is the
Father of the said child.

Mary Brades< no role > Singlewoman maketh Oath
That about two years ago She was hired & lived as a hired Servant
by the Year With Joseph Hart< no role > of the Parish of Saint Botolph
without Aldgate in the Said County Victualler at the Yearly Wages
of Five Pounds & Continued there in Such Service for the Space
of one Years & upwards & by means thereof gained a legal Settlement
there That She this Depont. hath not Since lived elsewhere as a hired
Servant for the Space of year nor to her Knowledge or belief
hath She done any Act to gain a Subsequent Settlement.
