Whereas it Appeareth unto us whose Hands
agd Seales are here unto Sett three of her Majesties
Justices of the peace for the said County of Middlesex
(Quorum nuns) upon the Complaint of the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Wilsdon within
this County That Elizabeth < no role > the now Wife of John Cogden< no role >
is lately come into the said Parish Endeavoring to Settle
herselfe there without Giveing Notice in Writing to the said
Churchwardens or Overseers of the Poor or any one of them
of the House of her abode in the said Parish according to
the Statutes in that Case made and Provided And That the
said Elizabeth Cogden< no role > is latelybecome Chargeable to
the said Parish And Whereas it Appeareth unto us the
said Justices upon the Oath of the said Elizabeth Cogden< no role > That
her said Husband John Cogden< no role > was A Hired Servant to One
Joseph Tanner< no role > of the Parish of Watford in the County of
Hartford A Tanner by Trade for six Pounds A yeare and
lived with him above Three yeares and Received All his
Wages and came from thence about Three yeares Since and never
gained any Settlement since haveing only taken a House of
Fifty Shillings A Yeare and never paid to Church or Poor Wee
doe Therefore Adjudge the said Elizabeth Cogden< no role > to be Legally Settled
at Watford aforesaid

These are therefore in her Majesties Name to Charge and Comand you and
every of you forthwith upon Sight hereof to Remove and Convey the said Elizabeth
Cogden
< no role > from the said Parish of Wilson the next and Direct off way to the said
Parish of Watford in the said County of Hartford and Deliver wher with A
True Coppy hereof unto the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor there
who are hereby Required to Provide for her according to Law Here of fail not
at your Porills Given under our Hands and Seales the Three and Twentith
day of November in the Seventh yeare of the Reigne of our Soverigne
Lady Anne Queen of Great Brittain Etc Anno qr Din 1708

To the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the Parish of Wilsden aforesaid to Execute;

And to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
parish of Watford in the County of Hartford
aforesaid to Obay
