Examination Text | Elizth Goodman aged about 24 Years upon her Oath saith that she is the Wife of Alexander Makepeace Goodman (gone from her) to whom she was Married at the Parish Church of Saint Martin in the ffields about four years ago that her said Husband nor did any Act whereby to gain a Settlement in his own right that her said Husbands ffather while single and unmarried was a Yearly hired servant with Mr. Rd. Hainworth corner of Bedford Bury & New St. in the parish of Saint Martin in the ffields within the Liberty of Westminster & County of Middlesex for the space of about Nineteen Months all under one hiring at the yearly wages of ffive Pounds Diet and Lodging quitted the same about forty Years ago & since that time hath not kept house rented a Tenement of Ten Pounds by the Year nor done any Act to gain a Subsequent Settlement.
