Examination TextThomas Lowen aged forty seven Years on his Oath saith, that he is the Legitimate Son of William & Elizabeth Lowen both deceased; that his said Father lived in and rented a House in Bennett?s Court, near the Strand, in the Parish of Saint Martin in the Fields, within the Liberty of Westmr. in the County of Middlesex but what Time he kept It, this Deponent cannot tell, that he paid tenpounds per Year, besides Taxes.And this Deponent further saith, that he hath not done any Act to gain a Settlement in any other parish or place. // Sworn the 5th Day of August 1786.
