Signed the Rate for the necessary
Relief of the Poor for the fourth Quarter
This being a Meeting to take into
Consideration the frequent Robberies and
depredations that have lately happened in
this Parish and to take Measures for preventing
them in future
It appeared that a Mr Peake in
Clements Lane and Mr Burnthwaite Senr
were attacked by a gang of Street Robbers
in the Church Yard.
That the 3 Tuns in Houghton Street
and the Bulls Head in Vere street had
been broke open and Robbed and Mr
Broomhalls Window had been Plundered
It was moved by Mr Collier and
Seconded by Mr Marshall
That a Bill be Printed the same as
Issued in March 1799 except that the
Reward for Street Robberybe £10instead
of £5-
The Question being put
was carried in the affirmative
