"a Note from either of the Parish Officers for the time

"As I am in the habit of attending the Poor in
"great Numbers at my own House every Morning, it gives
"me an opportunity of seeing the use such an Arrangement
"would be of to the Parish, and having received much
"civility and respect from the Inhabitants I should be
"happy to contribute any services in my Power, indeed I
"entertain a hope that it would not only Prove of benefit
"to the Poor of this Parish in Particular but would be the
"means of introducing a like system in other Parishes, by
"which the Poor would always have Medical Assistance
"afforded them within a short distance from their own
"habitations, by Min of ability in the several districts,
"and under the immediate inspection of the Parochial
"Officers and Inhabitants of such district
"That such a Plan would effectually
"remove from the Poor in the Workhouse

"and illiberal language which they frequently make
"use of under the Nation of the Surgeon being Paid to
"attend them
"If upon concidering these ideas you shall be
"inclined to coincide with me in opinion, I shall be happy in
"co'opperating with yow in carrying them into Execution
