Mr. Sidebotham reported to this Board that he had
agreeable to the Resolution of the last Board wrote in [..]
Letters to the sevl Coal Merchants being Whafingers re [..]
in this Parish who chose to serve the Workhouse with
60 Chaldron of Coals 40 of which to be the best Windsor
Pontop or Tanfield Moore Coals Pool Measure Clear
all Expences subject to the Inspection of the Overseers
or who they shod. Appoint to be delivered forthwith & the
20 Chaldron to be good round Coals to be delivered in
Bushells to the Poor on St. Thomas's day next Th [..]
in pursuance of such Letters 3 proposals had been [..]
in Vizt. One by Wm. Kitchiner Esqr. at £2-2s-6d One by
Kennetts £2:2:0 and One by Messrs. Godfrey & Brabant [..]
£2..0s.6d including Shooting and trimming Where up
It was Agreed that Messrs. Godfrey & Brabant (the
being the lowest) shod. serve the Workhouse subject
the Inspection of the Overseers or who they shod app [..]
they entring into a Contract for that Purpose.
