At a Meeting of the Committee Elected
and appointed pursuant to the Act
of Parliament for better Paving
Cleansing and Lighting this Parish Etc
held in the Vestry Room the Nineteenth
day of January 1798 .

The Minutes of the last meeting Read and
confirmed

Read the Return of the Inspector of Paving
Lamps

The Contractor being Summoned for default of
Lighting the Lamps he being ill his Foreman at [..]
when Daniel Raycroft< no role > Waterman in Ar [..]
Street was examined and allodged that last Monday
night or Tuesday morning about three not a Lamp
was a Light in Arundel Street , so dark that
a Gentleman Run against a Post and got a fall
and that the Lamps were in a very bad state
last night in Arundel Street

Jonas Batho< no role > the Constable of Royal Ward
says that on the 12th. Instant the Lamps in
General were very badly lighted particularly in
Water Street Greyhound Court & Milford Lane
The Foreman of the Contract or promised Amendment
