The Clerk having laid before this Committee a Bill from William Meredith< no role >
and Thomas Lovett< no role > for New Paving Cooks Court Devereux Court Nags Head Court
little Stanhope Street and Milk Yard amounting to £268..14s..1d.-Also a Bill
from James Higley Carpenter for Work done in New Paving the same amounting to
£44..11s..7d.-Also a Bill from James Brownley< no role > the Smith for Work done in the
same amounting to £21..5s..3d.-Also a Bill from Thomas Stevens< no role > the Bricklayer
for Work done in the same amounting to £21..4s..3d.-Also several Bills from
Burton and Son Plumbers for Work done in the same amounting to £4..18s..4d. which
being Certified by the Supervisor to be just and proper Bills and having been now
read Orderd that the same be transmitted to the Commissioners at
Westminster Etc. for Payment out of Monies received for New Paving for which
purpose this Committee signed the same.

A Bill from the Committee of the Parish of St Martin in the
Fields on this Committee for New Paving so much of the Strand Burleigh
Street as lies Contiguous to their Parish amounting to £255..5s..8d. being
also read and the Supervisor having certified that he had Examined the
said Bill Ordered that the said Bill be certified to the Commissioners for
Paving Westminster Etc. in order to Payment out of Monies received for New
Paving

Ordered that the Sum of Six Hundred and Forty Pounds be paid
into the Bank to the Account of the Commissioners for Paving Westminster Etc to
be applied in Payment of Bills for New Paving for which purpose Mr Kennett
and Mr. Ireland are desired to draw on the Banker

This Committee having received Information that a Trial at Law has lately
been had between the Overseers of this Parish and the Inhabitants of Serles Court
Lincolns Inn relative to the Poors Rate set on the said Inhabitants and that a
Verdict was found in favour of this Parish by which the Right of Parochial Taxes
are Established-And this Committee being also informed that no Lamps have as
yet been Erected by this Committee within the said Court and that there are Six
Stair Cases in the said Court within this Parish at the distance of between 25 or
30 Yards from each other-this Committee are of Opinion therefore that a Lamp
should be put up at the Entrance to each Stair Case and at the comes of the Passage
next Serles Street And it is Resolved that the Commissioners for Paving
Westminster Etc be requested to give this Committee an Order to put up and keep
lighted Seven Lamps in Manner aforesaid from Lady day next

Adjourned to Friday 7th. April next at Six
