have notice thereof and that unless he immediately fulfill his Contract his Bond
be put in Suit

George Nixon< no role > Inspector to this Committee attending and being Examined
upon Oath makes the following returns That Bear Yard and Burleigh
Street want to be Repaired That Exeter Court, Change Court, Herberts Passage,
Fountain Court, Crown Court Butcher Row, Angel Court , Bennetts Court,
Horse shoe Court and Hemlock Court severally want Repairs, That two
new Rails are wanted and a Weather Board Penthouse raising 18 Inches &
a Door Cill to be hired in Herberts Passage - That Mrs. Jones Pliant to her Door
in Beaufort Buildings wants to be made good That a Lamp in Clare Court
wants Sinking 8 Inches - and one in Kings Anns Court removing a little
That a Lamp Iron wants turning at each end of Cooks Court and one
removing and two taken away - That in Ship Yard one Lamp is
wanted to be removed and one taken away - That in Grange Court
a Lamp Iron wants turning & one taking away - That in Sawyers
Yard one Lamp Iron wants Sinking and one taking away - That in
New Court Carey Street One Lamp Iron should be removed & one taken
away In Plough Court One Lamp Iron should be removed and one taken
away - That a Lamp is wanting at the two New Houses Near Temple
Bar - That a Lamp wants removing out of Yeates' Court and a Lamp
removing in Tweezers Alley and that the Pavment of the Footway
before the Plough Inn wants taking up and being relaid which
matters having been inspected by several of the Committee It is
Ordered that the said several Repairs and other matters be
Forthwith compleated

This Committee having since their meeting of the 7th. Instant
(wherein they requested an Order from the Commissioners for Paving
Westminster Etc to Advertise for Paving this several Places there in
mentioned) made a Survey of this Parish and thinking it necessary
that White Horse Yard should be Paved with Purbeck Squares - Clements Inn
Passage and Horn Court with Purbeck Paving or Purbeck Squares - The Carriage
way of Cumberland Court with Pebbles of 9 to 12 Inches and the Footway
with Purbeck Paving, Cooks Court with Squared Stones or Purbeck Paving
It is Ordered that the said Commissioners be requested to give this Committee
an Order to Advertise for Contracting the doing of such several Works
in the stead of the places mentioned in the said Order of the 7th. Instant
as also for the Lighting not exceeding 450 Lamps in this Parish from
Michaelmas next
