St. Clemt. Danes

Ann Phillips< no role > aged 23 Years or thereabouts upon
her Oath saith That she never was Married
Rented House or paid Taxes.That she lived as
an hired yearly servant with Mrs. Bendon in
Old Boswell Court in the parish of Saint Clement
Danes in the County of Middlesex for near three
years at the yearly Wages of Six Pounds, That
she quitted her said Service about twelve Months
ago since which time she this Examinant hath
done no Act Matter of thing to the best of her knowledge
Information or belief to gain any other settlement
and further this Examinant upon her Oath Voluntary
Oath saith That she is pregnant with Child or
Children which is or are likely to become a
bastard or bastards and to become Chargeable
to the said Parish of St Clemt. Danes she being
poor and unable to Maintain the same when
born, and fur.this & Thos.York< no role > a [..] Post
boy living at the Bulls Head in a Street near
Piccadilly the name of which she this Examinant
both not Recollect in the Father thereof he having
had knowCarnal knowledge of this Examinants body
sometime in the Month of March last & at several
times since at one of which times [..] he the said Thos. York< no role >
did begot her with Child or Children of which she
is so pregnant & that she sd. Thos. York< no role > & no one else
is the only real & true Father thereof.
