Saint Clement Danes

Middlesex

to wit Ann Briggs< no role > aged about 25 years upon
her Oath saith that she never was married that
she was bound an Apprentice by the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint
Martin in the fields to one Richard Shuter< no role > in Drury
Lane in the Parish of Saint Clement Danes in the
County of Middlesex and that after she was out of
her said Apprenticeship she has never lived as a
hired yearly Servant for one year or done any Act
to the best of this Examinants knowledge Information
or belief to gain a Subsequent Settlement And
further this Examinant upon her Voluntary Oath
saith that she is pregnant with Child or Children
which is or are likely to be born a Bastard or Bastards
and to become Chargeable to the said Parish of Saint
Clement Danes That one Mark Kelly< no role > who lately
lodged at Mrs. Harford No. 3 Southampton Street in
the Strand Gentleman is the father thereof he having
had carnal knowledge of this Examinants Body
sometime in or about the Month of December last and
Several times since at one of which times he did beget
the said Child or Children of which she is so pregnant and that
the said Mark Kelly< no role > is the only real and true father thereof.
