to wit Catherine Jennings< no role > This name instance is in set 609. This set is in the group(s): MothersCD . aged about
22 years upon her Oath saith that she never was
married Rented House [..] paid Taxes lived as a
hired yearly Servant for One year or ever bound an
Apprentice . That she was born at Plimptree in
Devonshire That she has done no Act to gain a
Subsequent Settlement And further upon her
Voluntary Oath saith That she is pregnant with
Child or Children which is or are likely to be born
a Bastard or Bastards and to become Chargeable
to the Parish of Saint Clement Danes And further
Says that one Mr. Hughes Clerk to Mr.
Gosling the Bankers in Fleet Street is the Father
thereof he having had Carnal knowledge of this
Examinants Body sometime in the Month of
September last and at several times since at one
of which times he did beget the said Child or Childn.
of which she is so pregnant and that the said Mr.
Hughes is the only real and true Father thereof
