to wit Elizabeth Williams< no role > aged about
26 years upon her Oath saith that she
never was married That she lived as a
hired yearly Servant with Mr. Garnham in
Little Shire Lane in the Parish of Saint Clement
Danes for Seventeen Months at the yearly wages
of Six Guineas that she hath quitted said Service
about Twelve Months since which time she hath
done no Act Matter or thing whereby she might
have gained a subsequent Settlement And
further this Deponent upon her Oath saith
that she is pregnant with Child or Children
which is or are likely to be born a Bastard or
Bastards and to become Chargeable to the said
Parish That one John Chafe< no role > a Journeyman
Shoemaker who did lodge at Mr. Bignolls on
Little Shire Lane but where he is now she this
Deponent doth not know is the father thereof
he having had carnal knowledge of this
Examinants Body and begotten the said Child or
Children of which she is now pregnant and that
the said John Chafe< no role > is the only Real & true father
thereof
