to wit Ann Battison< no role > aged
about 20 years upon her Oath saith that
she never was married or done any Act
Matter or thing whereby she might have gained a
Settlement in her own Right that she was born in
Clements Lane that her father William Battison< no role > Rented
a house several years in the Parish of Saint Clement
Danes And this Deponent further upon her voluntary
Oath saith that she is pregnant with Child or Children
which is or are likely to be born a Bastard or Bastards
and to become Chargeable to the said Parish That
one William Smith< no role > who lives at Johnstons Sunday
Monitor Office on Ludgate hill is the father thereof
he having had carnal knowledge of this Examinants
Body and begotten the said Child or Children of which
she is now pregnant and that the said William
Smith
< no role > is the only real and true father thereof
