Reputed Father

(to wit) Mary Riley Rainer< no role > singlewoman aged 22 years
or thereabouts Upon Oath saith that She never was
Married that She lived as an hired yearly Servant
with Mr Constable in Butcher Row in the parish of St. Clement Danes for a year &
upwards at the annual Wages of Seven pounds
that she quitted that service on or about the 12th day of
this instant September and hath not since done
any Act Matter or thing whatsoever whereby to
obtain any subsequent legal Settlement to the
best of this Examinant's knowledge information or
belief And this Examinant Upon her Voluntary
Oath further saith that She is now pregnant with
a Child or Children which is or are likely to be
born a Bastard or Bastards and to become
chargeable to the said parish of St Clement Danes
when born and that one Closely [..]
now or late a lodger at the Blackmoor's Head
in Hedge Lane within the Liberty of Westminster
in the County of Middlesex Shoemaker is the
only real true father of the Child or Children
where with She is pregnant as aforesaid he and
no one else having had carnal knowledge of this
Deponent's Body on or and that only on or about
the fifth day of May last when he beget the
