(to wit) Hannah Bear< no role > singlewoman aged
eighteen years and upwards Upon
Oath saith that she never was Married that
she lived as an hired yearly Servant with
Mr. Jones in Carey Street in the parish of Saint
Clement Danes in the Liberty of Westminster
in the County of Middlesex for a year and
upwards at the Annual Wages of six pounds
that she quitted that service about five years
ago and hath not obtained any subsequent legal
Settlement to the best of her knowledge or belief
And this Examinant Upon her Oath further
saith that she is now pregnant with a Child or
Children which is or are likely to be born a
Bastard or Bastards and to become chargeable
to the said parish of St Clement Danes when
born And that Thomas Appleyard< no role > who has been
lately pressed and is as She believes now in his
Majesty's Service is the only real true father of
the said Child or Children where with she is so
pregnant as aforesaid he having had carnal
knowledge of this Deponents Body first in or
about the three years ago and several times
between that and the Month of June May last
at some or one of which [..] times he did beget
the said Child or Children thereon and that he
and no one else is the real true father
