(to wit) Elizabeth Pearman< no role > This name instance is in set 627. This set is in the group(s): MothersCD . Singlewoman
aged 30 years or thereabouts Upon Oath
saith that she never was Married that she lived
as an hired yearly servant with Mr Harris at 3
Tuns Clare Market for a year [..] & upwards
at the [..] annual Wages of six pounds that
She quitted that Service about seven years ago
and hath not obtained any Subsequent legal
settlement to the best of this Deponent's knowledge
Information or belief And upon this Examinant Upon
her Oath further saith that on or about the 18th day of May
last she was delivered of two Male Bastard Children
at the Workhouse of the said parish of St. Clement
Danes both since half Baptized the one by the Name
Lawrence Pearman and the other James Pearman
that she this Examinant has been in the Workhouse
that of the said parish for twelve months last part
that she first was connected with Lawrence Warren
the father of the said Children on or about the 26th
day of May 1792 and at Several times since at some
or one of which times he did legal the said Children
thereon on on the Body of this Examinant And that
he and no one else is the only real true father thereof
that he the said Lawrence Warren< no role > is a Pauper
maintained in this Workhouse of the said parish
and that she first became acquainted with him there
Warren the father of there Children has been several years a pauper in
the Housetaken before Mr. Bleamire who objected to
commit them or do any thing more than represn and of them
