to wit Margaret Hickman< no role > aged
about 24 Years upon her Oath saith that
she never was married That she lived as a hired
yearly Servant with Mrs. Heath in Crown Place in
the Parish of Saint Clement Danes in the County
of Middlesex for Two Years at the yearly Wages of
Seven Guineas that she hath quitted said Service
about Thirteen Months since which time she
hath not done any Act matter or thing whereby
she might have gained a subsequent Settlement
And further this Examinant upon her voluntary
Oath saith that she is pregnant with Child or
Children which is or are likely to be born a Bastard
or Bastards and to become Chargeable to the said
Parish of Saint Clement Danes That one Edward
Carwood
< no role > a Journeyman Taylor who lodges at No. 9
Little Camberwell Place near Westminster Bridge
and who works for a Taylor near Charing Cross is
the father thereof he having had carnal knowledge
of this Examinants Body and begotten the same
thereon and that the said Edward Carwood< no role > and no
other Person did beget the same & that he is the
only real and true father thereof

14th. June 1796 Far. gave a Note for £15. at 5 Installmts. Vizt.
£3. each at at 3, 6, 9, 12, & 15 Mos. all of which were duly
Paid Child born in the house 9th. May 1796 named
Francis< no role > sent to Enfield 15th. June 1796 .
