to wit Martha Roberts< no role > Widow aged
Sixty six years and upwards Upon Oath
saith that She was Married to John Roberts< no role > at the
Fleet about fortyfourtwo years ago that her said
Husband previous theretoher said House(while he
was single and unmarried) lived as an hired
yearly Servant with his Brother Mr. Roberts
in Featherston Street in the parish of Saint. Luke
in the County of Middlesex for a year
or upwardsat the [..] (as she hath been
informed and believes) but what Wages he agreed for
or received for such Service this Deponent knows nor
And that he quitted the same for sometime before
their Marriage and never after acquired any subsequent
legal Settlement to the best of this Deponent's know legal
or belief that [..] she has been informed & believes he Died at New York in North America
about [..] thirty seven years ago And [..] she hath
nor Since been Married or done any Act Matter or thing
whatsoever whereby to obtain any legal Settlement in
her own Right
