to wit Mary Roe< no role > singlewoman aged
twenty seven years or thereabouts upon
her Oath saith that she never was
Married, that she never lived as an
hired yearly servant for one year
or did any other Act Matter or thing
whereby to gain a Settlement in her
own Right that she has been informed
and believes that her father and Mother
John Roe< no role > and Jane Roe< no role > who are both
deceased did each of them before their
Intermarriage live as hired yearly
Servants with a Gentleman in Essex
Street in the Parish of Saint Clement
Danes in the County of Middlesex for
upwards four Year during which time
they were unmarried and without Child
or Children And this Examinant further
saith that her said Father or Mother did
not either of them afterwards gain any
other Settlement to this Examinants
Knowledge, and that her said Mother
died in the Workhouse of Saint Clement
Danes and that she is poor and unable
to Maintain herself being at Present lane
with a bad Leg

of Decr. 1794 }
