(to wit) Ann Stephens< no role > aged 32 years or
thereabouts Upon Oath saith that She
was Married to William Stephens< no role > at the parish of
St George Bloomsbury on or about the 22d. day of
January 1776 (by Banns) that previous thereto
her said husband Served his Apprenticeship with
Mr. James Brown< no role > Shoemaker Russell Cant in
the parish of St Martin in the fields in the Liberty
of Westminster in the County of Middlesex that
he boarded and lodged in his said Masters
HouseHouse during & notApprenApprenticeship
that since the expiration of his Apprenticeship
(which was about Nineteen years ago)Andhe hath
Out Since Rented any House or Apartment of
ten pounds a year value lived as an hired
yearly Servant for a Year together or done any
Act Matter or thing whatsoever whereby to
obtain any subsequent legal Settlement to the best
of this Examinant's knowledge information or
belief that her said Husband has been from her
many years and She knows not where he is
that She is [..] distressed and become chargeable
to the parish of St Clement Danes being
