to wit Jno Strickland< no role > Singleman aged
36 Years and upwards Upon Oath saith
that he never was Married That he was
bound an Apprentice for seven years by Indenture to Mr
Dickonson [..] and served his said Master [..] for 5 Years Stations
that he this Deponent during the first Year
of his Apprenticeship hisSlept in his Master's
Shopatthen situate in Holborn Next to Grays Inn Gate
in Holborn in the parish of St Andrew Holborn
above The Bars in the County of Middx.That
Thatafterwards atabout the Expiration of that year his
said Masters took Chambers in Grays Inn
where this Deponent Slept during the
Remainder of his Service, That at the End of
the said 3 Years he left his Master by
consent and hath done no Act or thing
whatsoever whereby to obtain any
other Settlement than in the said parish
of St Andrew Holborn as aforesaid
