Hannah Wharton< no role > Aged about 26 Years on her
Oath says she never was married nor ever Rented House
or paid Taxes says she lived a hired Yearly Servant with
one Mr. Scott a Butcher in Clare Markett in the Parish
of Saint Clement Danes in the Liberty of Westminster
for Two Years at the Yearly Wages of Seven Pounds
hath quitted her said Service about Two Years ago and hath
not since she quitted the same ever rented House paid
Taxes or lived a hired Yearly Servant for one Year And
further says that on the 29th. day of January last past
she was delivered of a female Bastard Child at the House
of one Mr. Thompson in Garden Court Balwins Gardens
in the Parish of Saint Andrew Holbourn in the County of
Middlesex which hath since been Baptized by the Name
of Ann< no role > Says that one William Mayo< no role > a Journeyman
Shoemaker who lately lodged at a Cooks Shop in White
Hart Yard and worked for one Mr. Papper a Shoemaker
under Lincolns Inn Gate Way is the Father of the said
Female Bastard Child he having had Carnal Knowledge of
her Body some time the begining of May 1769 but the
particular Day she does not now Remember and at sevl.
times afterwards at one of which times he get her with Child
of the Female Bastard Child of which she was delivered as
afsd. and that the said Wm. Mayo< no role > and no other person is the
real & True Father thereof
