to wit Rachael Pounds< no role > Aged about 20 Years on her
Oath says she never was married says she now lives a hired Yearly
Servant with one Mr. John Bridges< no role > a Butcher in Clare Markett in
the Parish of Saint Clement Danes in the Liberty of Westminster
and has so done for two Years or thereabouts at the Yearly Wages of
5 Pounds And further upon her Voluntary Oath says she is
Pregnant with Child or Children which are likely to be born a Bastard
or Bastards and to become Chargeable to the said Parish of Saint
Clement Danes she being, Poor and unable to maintain the same
when born Says that one Edward Barras< no role > a Journeman
Butler who lives with one Mr. Chamberlaine a Butler in Clare
Markett afsd. had Carnal Knowledge of her Body some time in
the Month of May last Past and at Several Different times
Afterwards at one of which times he got her with Child of the
Child or Children of which she is now Pregnant as aforesaid and
that the said Edward Barras< no role > and no other Person did beget the
same and that he is the true and real Father thereof
