Catherine Corbett< no role > Aged about Twenty Seven Years
her Oath Says she is the Widow of Caleb Corbett< no role > decease
who had been Dead about Nine Months & with whom she Intermarried at the Parish Church of
Saint Mary Magdalen Bermondsey in the County of Surry
about four Years ago Says her said late Husband served
five years Clerkship with Mr. Glass Attorney at Law
in New Inn in the Parish of Saint Clement Danes in the
Liberty of Westmr. as her said Husband has often Informed
her and which Information she verily believes to be true
and never after Rented House or paid taxes And further
upon her Voluntary Oath says she is pregnant with Child
or Children which is or are likely to be born a Bastard or
Bastards and to become chargeable to the said Parish of
Saint Clement Danes she being poor and unable to pay [..]
same when born Says that one Thomas Bratson< no role > a Labou [..]
who lodges at his Mothers in New Street near Dock he [..]
had Carnal Knowledge of her Body sometime in the
Month of May last but the Particular Day she cannot rec [..]
and at sevl. Different times afterwards at one of which
times he got her with Child of the Child or Children with
which she is now Pregnant as afsd. and that the said
Thomas Batson< no role > and no other person did beget the same
and that he is the real and true Father thereof
