The Examination of Elizth. Stevens< no role > Singlewoman passed from
the Liberty of Saffron Hill Hatton Garden & Ely Rents in ye. Parish
of St. Andw. Holbourn in the County of Middx by Order dated ye-
23d. Day of April 1741 [..] to the Parish of St. Clemt-
Danes in the County of Middx taken the Day of May
1741 Who upon her Oath saith that abt. Twenty Years
ago she lived with one Mr. Blythman in Searle
Street in the sd. Parish of St. Clement Danes for the
Space of Two Years at the Yearly Wages of Six Pounds
& further saith that since she left her sd. Service she
lived with her Uncle Thos. Stevens< no role > in the Town of
Monmouth for the Space of one Year & upwards & had for
her sd. Service Meat Drink Washing & Lodging & some
Money & further saith that after she left her sd. Service
she lived with Mr. Dupee her Brother in Law in
Conduit Street in the Parish of St. George Hanover
Square for the Space of Ten Years or Thereabts- & had
for such her sd. Service Meat Drink Washing Lodging
Cloaths & some Money & hath left the same abt. a Year
& a half & further upon her Oath saith that she never
rented Ten Pounds a Year pd. Parish Taxes or otherwise
gain'd a Settlemt. in any other Place to her knowledge or beleife
& being Poor is not able to maintaine herselfe
