Child mentioned in an Advertizement published
in the daily Advertizer of the 28th. Inst. & therein
said to be dropt in the Ground Staircase of No. (18) in
Clements Inn is the Child of Mary Elsam< no role > als
White< no role > and was born about three months ago
in the house of Mrs. Baldwin at the Ship in
Craven Court in the afsd. Parish of St. Martin
in the Fields & baptized John< no role > and the above Andrew Medcalf< no role >
for himself maketh Oath that the sd. Child
was the reputed Child of Rt White< no role > who as
this Examint. believes was married to the
above Mary Elsam abt. 18 months ago at ye. Fleet
and that the sd. Rt. White has a former wife now
living whose Maiden name this dept. believes was Mary
Drake
< no role > andthatwho is now (together wth.
her two Childn. Rt< no role > . & Thomas< no role > )maintained
& for four Years past has been Supported
by the Parish of Reedham near Yarmouth
in the County of Suffolk in right of the
