Singlewoman Upon her Oath Saith that Fras.
Lewis Downs
< no role > late of Denyell Street Clare
Markett in the said Parish & County Taylor
has run away & deserted his two Children (vizt.)
Margaret< no role > aged about 11 years and Mary < no role > aged
Ten years or thereabouts and left the same
Chargeable to the Parish of Saint Clement
Dane And this Examinant further saith
that this Examinants Knowledge of his
had & so done arises from this Circumstance
that is to say That the said Fras. Lewis
Downs had put the said Children to m [..]
with this Examinant and about Seven Weeks
ago went away and entirely deserted them
since which time this Examinant hath
delivered them to the Parish Officers of the sd.
Parish of St. Clement Danes and the said
Children are now in the Workhouse of
St. Clement Danes aforesaid
