to Wit Cath: Nicholls< no role > Aged about 21 Years on her Oath says she
never was married Rented House or paid Taxes says she
lived a hired yearly Servant to one Mrs. Cook at the City of
Durham in Blackmoor Street Clare Markett in the Parish
of St. Clement Danes for fifteen Months at the yearly Wages of
four Pounds Ten Shillings hath quitted her sd. Service upwards
of Six Months ago since which time she hath never gained any
other Subsequent Settlement And further on her Voluntary
Oath says that on the 25th. day of Augt. last Past she was
delivered of a Female Bastard Child in the Workhouse belongg.
to the said Parish which hath since been baptized by the name
of Ann< no role > & is now Chargeable to the said Parish And further
says that one North Jolly< no role > an Apprentice to Mr. Sanger a
Poulterer in Blackmoor Street afsd. is the father thereof
he having had Carnal knowledge of her Body in his the
said Mr. Sangers house several times upwards of TenMon
Months ago And further says that the sd. North Jolly< no role >
no other person did beget the same and that he is the real
& true father thereof.
