Susanna Manning< no role > aged about 26 years on her Oath says
she is the Widow of Benjamin Manning< no role > with whom she
Intermarried at Hampton in the County of Gloucester about [..]
years ago and who died about 5 years ago says her said late
Husband was by Trade a Stone Mason and whose Settlement
was at Hampton afsd. and after her said Husbands death she never gained
either by Renting House paid Taxes or having a hired year
Servant for One Year And further on her Voluntary Oath
says that on the 13th. day of July last she was delivered of a
Male Bastard Child in the Work house belonging to the Par [..]
of St. Clement Danes which hath since been baptized by [..]
of James< no role > and is now Chargeable to the said Parish And
further that one Wm. King< no role > a Tide Waiter who lately lodged
the next Door to the Rose Tavern in Bridges Street Covent
Garden is the father thereof he having had Carnal Knowledge
of her Body at the Rose Tavern afsd. some time in the
Month of Septr. last but the particular Day she does not now
remember and at Sevl. Different times afterwards at one
of which times he got her with Child of the Male Bastard Child
of which she was so delivered as afsd. And that the said
Wm. King< no role > & no other Person did beget the same & that he
is the real & true Father thereof
