to wit Margaret King< no role > Aged about Twenty years on her
Oath says she never was married Rented House or paid Taxes
Says she lived a hired Yearly Servant with one Mr. Vardina
Taylor in White Horse Yard in the Parish of St. Clement Danes in
the Liberty of Westminster for one Year at the Yearly Wages of
five Pounds Ten Shillings hath quitted her said Service about Ten
Months ago since which time she hath gained no other subsequent
Settlement And further upon her Voluntary Oath Says she is
pregnant with Child or Children which is or are likely to be born a
Bastard or Bastards and to become chargeable to the said Parish
she being poor and unable to maintain the same when born Says
that One William Rose< no role > who lately kept the Buffalo Tavern and who
now lives near Bagnage Wells had Carnal Knowledge of her Body
sometime the latter End of December at a Tavern Through Temple
Bar but the name she does not now recollect and at sevl. different
times afterwards at one of which times he got her with Child of the
Child or Children of which she is now pregnant and that the said
William Rose< no role > and no other person did beget the same and that he
is the real and true Father thereof
