Elizabeth Skinner< no role > Aged about Twenty Two
Years on her Oath Says she never was married
Rented House or paid Taxes says she lived a
hired Yearly Servant with one Mrs. Kirk a Nursery
Woman in the Parish of Kensington in the County
of Middlesex upwards of One Year at the Yearly
Wages of five Pounds hath quitted her sd Service
upwards of Three Years ago since which time she
hath gained no other Subsequent Settlement And
further on her Oath Says that on the 14th. day of
August last past she was delivered of a Male Bastard
Child in the House of Robt. Cairns< no role > This name instance is in a workspace. in Bear Yard
in the Parish of St. Clement Danes which hath since
been baptized William< no role > and is likely to become
Chargable to the said Parish And further says that
one Benjamin Carne< no role > a Bricklayer did beget such
Bastard Child on her Body Says that the said Benjamin
Carn
< no role > served his Apprenticeship in Wales and never
gained a Settlement in England to her Knowledge
or belief.
