to wit Margaret Mitchell< no role > This name instance is in set 4469. Aged about Twenty Years on
her Oath Says she never was Married Rented House or paid
Taxes says she lived a hired Yearly Servant with one Mr
Wilton in Garey Street in the Parish of St Clement Danes in the Liberty of Westminster Baker, upwards of fourteen Months at
the Yearly Wages of five Pounds, Quitted her said service the
thirtieth of march last and hath not since she Quitted the same
ever done any other Act whereby to gain a subsequent Settlement
And further upon her Voluntary Oath says she is pregnant
with Child or Children which is or are likely to be born a
Bastard or Bastards and to Become Chargeable to the said
Parish of Saint Clement Danes (she being poor and unable to
Maintain the same when born) and that one William Bishop< no role >
a Journeyman Baker to her late said Master in the Father
there of he having had Carnal knowledge of her Body sometime
the Latter end of November or the beginning of December last
but the particular day she does not now remember, and at
several other times afterwards at one of which times he got
her with Child of the Child or Children of which she is now
Pregnant as aforesaid and that the said William Bishop< no role > and
no other person did beget the same and that he is the real and
true father thereof.
