to wit Elizabeth Plowman< no role > Aged about Twenty five Years in
her Oath Says she never was Married Rented House paid Taxes or
lived a hired Yearly Servant for one Year, Says her father John
Plowman
< no role > Served Seven Years Apprenticeship with one Mr. Love a Dyer
facing Essex Street in the Strand in the Parish of Saint Clement Danes
in the County of Middlesex , and afterwards lived as a Journeyman with
the said Mr. Love for several Years afterwards, but at what Wages this
Examinant does not know, and after Quitting his said Service he never
Rented House paid Taxes or otherwise gained a Subsequent Settlement
and further upon her Voluntary Oath says that on the 31st day of
July 1770 , she was delivered of a female Bastard Child in Green
Willow Court in Morris's Rents in the Parish of Saint Margaret
Westminster which has since been baptized by the name of Elizabeth< no role >
And further upon her Voluntary Oath says she is Pregnant with Child
or Children which is or are likely to be born a Bastard or Bastards
and to become Chargeable to the said Parish of Saint Clement Danes
she being poor and unable to maintain the same when born and this
One Thomas Price< no role > [..] Ostler who now lives with Mr. Edward Avery< no role > in
the Haymarket is the father thereof he having had Carnal Knowledge
of her body sometime in the Month of September last but the Particular
Day she does not now remember and at several different times afterward
at one of which times he got her with Child of the Child or Children of which
she is now Pregnant and that the said Thomas Price< no role > and no other
Person did beget the Same and that he is the real and true father
of the first mentioned Bastard Child & of the Child or Children
of which she is now Pregnant
