to wit Sarah Cox< no role > Aged about Thirty Eight Years on her Oath Says that
She intermarried with her late Husband Richard Cox< no role > at the Parish Church of
Saint Leonard Shoreditch in the County of Middlesex the 11th of Novr. 1759 and by
whom She hath 4 Children now living Viz Martha< no role > Aged about 12 Years, Sarah< no role >
aged about 10, William< no role > Aged about 6, and Elizabeth< no role > Aged about 2, Says her
said late husband before his said intermarriage with this Examinant and Whilst
he was a single Man lived as a Covenanted Servant with one Richard Lidgley< no role >
Glass cutter facing Palsgrave head Court in the Parish of Saint Clement Danes in the County
of Middlesex for the space of five Years under such Covenant Soon after which he
was Married to this Examinant, And Afterwards listed for a Soldier & Continued
in his Majestys Service three Years or thereabouts and was discharged, That
her said Husband after being so discharged went to Dudley in Worcester-
Shire and worked as a Journey man with Messrs Guest and Taylor Glasscutter
for 7 Years or Thereabouts that Afterwards her said Husband went to
Liverpool and worked as a Journeyman there for about the Space of 3 Years
and rented a House of £4-12S-6D payable Quarterly, but never paid any
Taxes whatsoever due for the same except the Watch Afterwards he went
and lived at Wodgsley in Staffordshire and worked at his said business
as a Journeyman about Eighteen Months, when her said Husband was
taken ill of the Stone and had relief for about 2 months, from the Parish
Officers there Viz: 5 Shillings Pr week and which was merely done to see
whether he got better and to save the Expences of Passing him and his family
upto Town, but her said Husband before his Death was Examined
with regard to his said Parish and upon his death bed declared the
Parish of Saint Clement Danes to be his Parish that the Parish Officers
of Wodgsley soon after his Burial paid for the Carriage of this
Examinant and her 4 Children upto Town and gave her a Guinea
for her and her Childrens Support and which was done to save [..]
the Expence of the Overseers coming upto Town as also the Expence
Attending such Pass. But this Examinant on her solemn Oath Says that her said
husband never gained any other Subsequent Settlement than as before mentioned
