Judith Shepherd< no role > aged upwds. of 29 Yrs.
upon her Oath saith she was never married Says
she lived a Yearly hired Servant with Mr. Steel
in Chancery Lane in the Liberty of the Rolls
in the County of Middx at the Yearly Wages
of £4 for the Space of 18 Months & hath left
the sd. Mr. Steel upwards of 6 Yrs. Says she hath
not since she left her said Service Rented
ten pounds a Year paid Parish Taxes lived a
Yearly Servt. for one Year or otherwise gained a
Settlemt. in any other Place to her knowledge or
belief and further upon her Voluntary Oath
Saith she was Delivered of a female Bastard
Child on the 17th. Day of May last in the
Lyeing in Infirmary in Jermyn Strt. in the
Parish of St. James in the Liberty of Westmr. which
hath since been Baptized Judith< no role > & is likely
to become Chargeable to the Parish of St. Clemt.
Danes in the County of Middx she being Poor &
not able to maintain the same
