County of Northampton by Order dated the
16th: of Octr. Instant upon Oath saith that
about 30 Years ago being at that time a
Singleman he lived a Yearly hired Servant
with Sr . Jno. Cheshire< no role > in Essex Street in
the Strand in the Parish of St. Clement Danes
in the County of Middlesex at the Yearly
Wages of Eight pounds for the Space of
Six Years or thereabouts Says he hath
not since he left his Service rented
ten pounds a Year paid Parish Taxes lived
a Yearly Servt. Whilst a Singleman for one
Year or otherwise gained a Settlemt. in
any other Place to his knowledge or beleif
