being swon deposeth that Yesterday the 5th. of July
Instant as he was rowing up abry the Shear
on the Westminster Side about 200 Yards
below Mr. Hodges the Distillers on Mill Bank
he observed the Body of Man drowned in the
River Thames upon which he called & another
Waterman to whist him who came to his Assistance
and they wit [..] Water [..] brought him to hoar and then this
Deponent with the other two Water men went
and acquainted the Parish Officers of St. Johns
to fetch him away which they did and examin
him to the Bane house in St. John's Burying
Ground, that upon [..] marking him this Deponent [..]
found upon hi [..] a History Book four Keys
tied together and about six penny worth of
half pence and nothing more ex [..] a pair of
Gloves

Waterman being sworn deposeth as
follows that [..] Yesterday 5th. July Instant
when the before mentioned Samuel Beale< no role >
saw the Body of the deceased in the River Thames
he called for my Assistance upon which I
went and me hauled the deceased to Shear on
Mill bank when the said Samuel Beale< no role >
in my Presence searched the Pockets of the
deceased and found a Book a Handkerchief
a Pair of Gloves and find Pence three farthing
in to his Pockets and no more, and then are
went and acquainted the Parish Officers
who fetched the Body away

deranged in his Mind and in a fit of Insanity
drowned himself
