to wit,


An Inquisition Indented, taken for our Sovereign Lord the
King at the House of Thomas Jones< no role > the Sign of the Bell in York Street in the Parish
of St Margaret within the Liberty of Dean and Chapter of the Collegiate Church
of St. Peter, Westminster , in the County of Middlesex , the eleventh day of January
in the thirty ninth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Third,
by the Grace of God, of Great-Britain, France, and Ireland King, Defender of the Faith,
and so forth, before Anthony Gell< no role > , Esq . Coroner of our said Lord the King for the said City
and Liberty, on View of Body of Edward Edmonds< no role > then and there
lying dead, upon the Oath of the several Jurors whose Names are here under written, and
Seals affixed, good and lawful Men of the said Liberty, duly chosen, who being then and
there duly sworn and charged to enquire for our said Lord the King, when, how and by
what Means the said Edward Edmonds< no role > came to h is Death, do upon
their Oath say that the said Edward Edmonds< no role > in Thursday
the eighth day of January last in the
Parish and within the Liberty aforesaid To Wit
in the Barrack Room in Hyde Park , as the said
Edward Edmonds< no role > was cleaning his leather Breeches
it so happened, that his Musket being loaded with
Powder and a leader Ball accidentally casually
and by Mit [..] atum went off by Means whereof [..]
said Edward Edmonds< no role > received a mortal wound in
his Knee of which said Mortal Wound he the
Said Edward Edmonds< no role > died, And so the Jurors
aforesaid, upon their oath aforesaid, do say,
that the said Edward Edmones< no role > on the 8th. day
of January last accidentally casually and by
Misfortune came to his Death Inst otherwise

IN WITNESS whereof, as well the said Coroner as the said Jurors, have to this Inqusition
set their Hands and Seals the Day, Year, and Place first above written.
