said City and Liberty touching
the Death of the said John
James Rosslett

there lying dead.

Elizabeth Smith< no role > Servant to the De [..] ned being
sworn deposeth, that about half part Eight this
Morning as she went into the Cellar to fetch
same Wood to light the Fire in comming back
she observed the deceased in the Cellar (appearing to
her to be on his Korees and imagining that [..] he had
been drunk and asleep best immediately she prcein [..]
him hanging by his Neck by a Rope the other End
thereof fastened or tied round a large Nail which
had been drove into an up right price of Tuiber
never the Stairs there, being terrified she ran up
Stairs and told twoPer [..] entMen who were in the Tap
Room what she had seen and they immediately
went over the Way to Mr. Lucas an Apothecary
who returned with the sd. two Man in a fee
