Informations of Witnesses
taken this 11th: July 1798 at the
Dwelling House of John Tranfield< no role > the Sign of the
Triumphant Chariot in Piccadilly in the ParishCounty
of St. Geo: Hanover Square on view of the Body of
John Herron< no role > then & there lying dead

Magnus Whitton Andrews< no role > House Surgeon at St.
George's Hospital [..]
being sworn saith the Deced on Monday
Eveng the 2d Inst. about 4 o'Clock. the right leg
was broken in two places & the ancle was
very greatly insured the was generally
insured tender about the Body & elsewhere
he was perfectly sensible at that time
Mr Keate before six o'Clock [..] off the
Leg, for the first 3 days there was reacn
in believe he might recover put
after that he became very low. &
vomitted a good & was very sick which
moved that he was internaly injured
he continued perfectly sensible till
last Monday morning the 9th. Inst when he
expired about of past 10 o'Clock &
was sensible to the time of her Death
the Internal injury with the external
fractures were the Cause of his Death.
this Deponent understood both from
[..] & from a Mr Wheatley of
Suffolk Street that he (the Deced) was
